I adore it! My birthday starts it off, ending my first year of college made it grand, and I got to sit in a car for, like, half of it (which, okay, is not all that fun, actually).

But seriously. It's still May? The end of May, sure. But it's still May?! This month feels as if it has dragged on foreverrrr. I feel like half of my summer has already passed, when in actuality it has not. And thank goodness because I'm still looking for a job, since I'm in desperate need of monies.

A lot has gone on this month since I last updated the day after my birthday, which I guess might explain why this month has felt so long. Here's a nice little bulleted list:

• I stayed up until 3:30 the morning before I left school to finish two papers. Then I spent another half hour packing up more of my room (and even though the styrofoam that came in my printer box kept squeaking like crazy, my roommate managed to sleep through my loudness), and decided that it was time to go to bed. Since I had to wake up at 8:30am. My dad and I then packed up the rest of my room, I checked out of my dorm (until next year, third floor Lesher!), turned in my papers (one professor wasn't in his office, but I assume he got the paper as I managed a B in the class, and the other professor was, so I chatted him up a little before leaving—I was the first person to turn in the paper, too, which came as no surprise to me seeing as it was actually technically due the following Tuesday—tell me why I felt the need to go to my sister's graduation? Oh, right, because I'm an awesome sister like that, cough cough anyway), and by 10:15 my dad and I had Sheetz coffee in hand and were on the road.

• The day after getting home, my family went back up to Wooster, Ohio, to see my sister graduate from college. We met up with Heather, her friend Julia, and my nana, and went out to dinner on Saturday night, then did some special graduate stuffs on the Sunday (a luncheon thingamawhatter). Also on Sunday my dad, sister and I got supercompetitive when we went out to a go-cart track. Let me tell you, after years and years of losing to the two of them, I am something ferocious now! The first race, I was able to hold off my dad until the final lap (THE FINAL LAP UGH), and the second one it wasn't even between me and my dad or sister, but me and this other kid who raced with us who was insane!. Had we gone just a little longer, I so would've spun him out (or so I like to think, um).

• After that I was home for three days and hung out mostly with my friend Katie. My family also went to see Star Trek. Which, yes, I LOVED OMG.

• I spent the next weekend with Miss Saskia Boggs in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I had never been to Michigan, so I added another state to my list and got to spend time with the best person in the entire world. We went out to dinner at a Lord of the Rings-themed pizza place, and did manual labor in Kalamazoo for her Building Blocks class, and saw a fantastic musical, and ate good food at the Crow's Nest I think it was called, and we watched JONAS and Wizards of Waverly place because we're just. that. cool, as well as an episode and a half of Buffy in her boyfriend's room (and I sat on his Red Wings blanket and I hope it smells horrible because hello Pittsburgh Penguins plzkthx). And basically just getting to spend time with Saskia made my life :)

• Since then, I have officially been back in Lexington for break. I went to see Star Trek in IMAX and got to pet the penguins at the Newport Aquarium (REAL LIVE PENGUINS! I PET THEM! I DIDN'T EVEN CARE THAT I GOT PENGUIN POO ON MY FOOT! THEY WERE THAT CUTE!). I helped DJ at Pride Prom (which, um, could have been a lot more stress-free except we had some MAJOR TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES ESPECIALLY DURING THE DRAG SHOW AND I WANTED TO HIDE IN THE CORNER AND CURL UP IN A BALL AND DRINK FROM A JUICE BOX it was that frustrating) and participated in the rally downtown yesterday against California's decision to uphold Prop 8 (fhidjsak I love all of my LexGSA friends so dearly, they are some of the most fantastic people I have ever met in my life). I've applied for a bunch of jobs and should call some places back about my applications, which I guess I will do today or tomorrow. A former postdoc of my dad's came to visit for a little bit with his family and I loved chatting with them (apparently I've grown up a lot, ahaha), and we even gave the two daughters a copy of RED (yay!).

Tonight, the Summer Movie Classics at the Kentucky Theater begin with The Apartment! And tomorrow, the Country Fair begins (and continues until Sunday)! And then it will be June. And I guess May really does end. Huh. How 'bout that.

Also, I got my grades back. Four As, an A-, and a B. My cumulative GPA is 3.7 AND IT FEELS HELLA AWESOME. As does knowing that the Penguins are going to the Stanley Cup finals! Whooooo! (My dad isn't happy about this, though. The Pens swept the Hurricanes, who beat the Bruins. And my dad is all about them Bruins. So er. Hockey's kind of a touchy subject in our household. I'M A TRAITOR, TEHEHE.)

Here's hoping I get a job. :/ And parents are finally forcing me into getting my license. So I guess I'll have to start driving myself everywhere. Sigh. Oh well. I'll get used to it. I hope. Errrr.

I'm a little bit crazed this weekend.

SO I MEANT TO BLOG EARLIER. Like, at least yesterday. But then I got caught up in the start of NaNoWriMo, which started yesterday and which I decided to participate in at 11am yesterday morning. So I've basically just been writing and not really doing much homework. (Up to 6,140 words as of this writing! Yay!)

I also just got off the phone with Saskia, who I rarely ever talk to but who I miss oh so dearly and we are so ready to get home for winter break and take the food scene in Lexington by storm. We reminisce about curry chicken salad sandwiches from Third Street Stuff and eclairs from Giacomo's. Oh how we miss you so!

I should be reading Astronomy units (2.5 to go! because I've fallen behind in my reading, oops) and researching for my CWS rough draft due Tuesday (punk rock + middle east = some sort of paper) and majorly editing the paper I wrote for my Sixties class (the paper that sucked so much, oh man, it's BAD). But I am blogging because I promised myself I would. Yes!

The election is on Tuesday and yes I sent in my absentee ballot at the beginning of the month. Voted for Obama for president, Lunsford for state senate (Ditch Mitch!), and a slew of other peoples for various other positions. I have to say that voting feels amazing, whether it be through absentee ballot or actually walking into the voting booth. By refusing to vote, you're not only silencing yourself, but you're also denying yourself a truly wonderful feeling. And what easier way to make a difference and be heard than to vote? But hey, I can't really force you into voting, though I'll tell you this: if you choose not to vote and then complain about any elected official over the next few years, I will probably hunt you down and smack you. By refusing your say in the election process, you refuse your right to complain.

Halloween was this past Friday and I didn't really dress up (sort of like an axe murderer for a while anyway? since I have a plastic axe), but Brittany and Lyndsey and I went to Standing Stone at 9:30 to eat and drink deliciousness, talk to the lovely workers, and watch part of a John Mayer concert DVD. (John Mayer? Love!)

I caught up on the past two weeks of Gossip Girl this morning. Blair + Chuck = major love!!! And I adore Nate/Chace Crawford. WHAT A HOTTIE.

sufkdsl. Is there a point to blogging if all I do is write a useless post? Bleh. Whatever. Just wanting to let you all know that I'm still here and am still very happy with college life and am trekking along with the craziness that is my life (mostly just crazy because I've decided to do NaNoWriMo. I mean, seriously, why? I have so many essays to write!).

We've all got our junk, and my junk is Spring Awakening.

(Ahahaha. What a lame title. But that's all that's on my mind, so la!)

After spending most of the week in the brown, wet northeast, imagine my surprise when I arrive home to find it green. And there are even flowers in bloom! Oh, it's pretty. So, so pretty.

Of course, my dad is like, "If you like the greenery, then why are you going to school up north? It won't be green up there for at least another two weeks!"

Oh, hush up.

Yes, I have been up north for the past week (well, got back yesterday, but I fell asleep before thinking of blogging.)

Last Sunday evening, Monday and Tuesday, I was in wonderful NYC, hanging out with my dad. We walked around the NYU campus briefly, went to the Apple Store on Fifth Ave (SO. BEAUTIFUL.), saw two Broadway shows (RENT and Spring Awakening), had lunch with Amy G. Walked a lot.

RENT was a last minute decision and a fantastic one at that.

Spring Awakening... oh man. Whenever someone asks me how it was, I turn into this big blubbering mess of, "Oh man, amazing, astounding, my entire life, ahhhhh!" Honestly, it lived up to everything I was hoping for, and then even more and more and more.

Then of course I got pictures at the stage door with various actors and fhgujkas meeting them is like a dream come true. Jonathan Groff is so freaking nice, seriously, and, and Jonathan B. Wright smiled at me! CAN YOU SAY LOVE? Because that's all I've been thinking. Love love love. Love everything about Spring Awakening. Ahhh.

After NYC, we left for a night in New Hampshire with my nana, and then the next day went to visit Hampshire College. I'm absolutely in love with Hampshire, but I don't want to make my final decision for at least another week. I mean, I've visited Hampshire much more recently now than I have Juniata, so of course it's going to overshadow Juniata. I'm also worried about after May 1st, when I hear back from the schools I've been wait-listed at — what if I get into one of those and decide I like it better? My dad would rather I go to Kenyon than Hampshire, for instance. But fjdiksfjk I don't know. Isn't it enough that I love Hampshire right now? I spent the afternoon with Saskia and we both went on and on about how we're so afraid of making the wrong decision.

If I go to Hampshire, though, my dad figures I'll be getting on the Amtrak every weekend so that I can go and see Spring Awakening alllll the time. PLZKTHX IF YOU INSIST, DEAR FATHER. Ahaha.

Ohhh man. But actually, I'm really tired of all things education right now. Being a second semester senior pretty much means I can't remember that I have work I need to do, and that I'd much rather be elsewhere, that soon I'll actually be elsewhere. I can't wait to get to college and care about learning again, because it'll be so nice to choose interesting classes. I mean, seriously, I could care less about Chemistry and Psychology now. Just want an escape!

Unfortunately, that escape is a little less than two months away. Until then, I guess I'll be reading books, writing out vocabulary, and cramming for tests. Worst. Ever.

Wish me survival, because I honestly don't feel like getting through the rest of this semester. Sleep beckons, but I must push it away — stupid homework. Why do I insist upon staring out the window on those long car rides, instead of doing productive things? Who knows, who knows....

This time, my blogging break is due to having an actual life!

So I've been gone, I know. I haven't posted in a while.

Well. Last week I was in Disney World with my school's orchestra. We did a fantastic workshop in which we got to record Beauty and the Beast, which was then put to the actual scene in the movie! Oh man, fabulous. The next day, we played a concert here in Magic Kingdom:

That's my friend Cara with me. We took a bunch of fantastic pictures with Disney characters. I love Cara so much, haha.

And, of course, we romped around the parks. It was magical, beautiful, wonderful. There's no place like Disney World.

The day after returning, Michelle and I played our first wizard rock show at the library downtown.

Yeah, I wore my Mickey pirate ears. I was (and still am) on a Disney-high. But oh man. It was amazing. Some people actually knew the words to one of our songs! And afterwards, people wanted pictures with us! And we got to sign someone's guitar! And we sold CDs! Add to my Disney-high a Wizard Rock-high and, man. I was just going crazy with love.

We played with a very lovely band called Tom Riddle And Friends.

And by lovely, I mean hot hot hot.

How about one more, yes?

*heartflutter* After they were done, they came and chatted with Michelle and me and we hugged them and all that was going through my mind was, "IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING." I am such a hormonal teenage girl.

After TRAF was Gred & Forge. He is so hilarious. And at the merch table afterwards, he gave me a copy of his CD for FREE. How cool is that?!

Unfortunately, most of my pictures of him totally sucked, so only one :(

But after him was The Remus Lupins, one of the more well-known Wizard Rock artists. Alex Carpenter is so amazing.

(And okay, attractive. I had to say it.)

This wizard rock show? The best I've ever been to. Yes, because I was in it. But, I mean. To be on the other side of the curtain, to be one of the bands instead of just one of the fangirls (well, in my case, both now)? dkjsfdmk. So happy-making.

On Wednesday, our orchestra attended festival (straight Distinguished scores! ROCK!) and then had our concert on Thursday.

My last high school festival. Next-to-last high school orchestra concert. It's starting to dawn on me that this is my last semester of high school. I'm so going to miss this orchestra when I leave for college. hfjiksjf. Stopping with the sadness right now.

Friday was Pi Day. We had a party in orchestra for the end of festival and for Disney World and stuff, in which I ate a small piece of cake, a brownie, a few cookies. It was bad. Then it got worse, because in Calculus, we had pie. I had two small pieces of pie. dfjikf. So much eating.

Then at home, my sister and I made pizza (it's a type of pie!) and strawberry pie.

We just used this Chef Boyardee box mix stuff, where you make your own dough and then it has some crappy cheese and pizza sauce. Yeah, we put on better cheese and some pepperonis. Delicious.

Working on the strawberry pie, our first (store-bought, of course) crust kind of... failed. Epically.

So we had to go out and buy another crust. Graham cracker crust probably isn't the best for strawberry pie, but we dealt.

It looks kind of messy (and a little too sharpened in this picture, sorry — it was blurry!), but it was delicious nonetheless.

It kind of fell apart on the plate, haha.

And, all right. Yamapi had to make an appearance on Pi Day. Yamapi. Pi Day. IT WORKS, ALL RIGHT? So I made this image of Yamapi's head on a strawberry pie (cough, fueling my need for strawberry pie) and then printed it out and put it in a pin. Which now is on my backpack. dfhkjsd. You love me, don't lie.

So now I'm at Saskia's house, where we've been chilling, making cookies, chilling, watching a video on volcanoes, chilling, listening to music, chilling. Tomorrow, we're going for brunch at Alfalfa's and then I'm going to the Apple Store in Louisville (the hard drive on our family computer has crapped out, and so what better time to finally visit the Apple Store?! Which, by the way, could most definitely be renamed Heaven).

Now, I'm going to go chill and listen to more music and finish crafting an e-mail to Harry and the Potters and think about how to write my music critique on Serge Gainsbourg's Ballade de Melody Nelson. Hopefully, I'll start posting more frequently again soon :)

Seeing as it's been awhile!

Okay, I feel really bad. It's been a while since I (or anyone else besides Amy G, it looks) has blogged on here! It's not even that I've been busy — really, not that busy. More like senioritis has set in when it comes to every aspect of my life — school and non-school lives alike. Let's see, when was the last time I posted? Oh, like, last Sunday? My gosh! What's happened since then?

Well, Darwin Day was February 12th, and that was also the last day we had Professor Steve Steve around.

We took him to meet with the Darwin Day event peoples, joining them for dinner at the café at Joseph-Beth. Look, they had a menu made up 'specially for him, ahaha. (And that horse there is Dr. Ginger Kasey. God, all of the stuffed animal love. So hilarious.)

And yes, my gosh, they even brought him drinks. He's a party animal, that Steve Steve.

And he stole away to the teen section of the bookstore to sneak a peek at Red ;) (Look! We get a little sign on the bookshelf!)

Then we headed over to the UU church for the Creation Museum presentation and the panel discussion. Professor Steve Steve indeed had his own spot on the panel.

Overall, a very eventful day. The twelfth, see, was also a snow day! As was the thirteenth. And man. Those were good days. Good days. Just relaxing and reading and enjoying my general laziness.

Seeing as February has become my "read whatever you feel like it!" month, here's a book update: I finished the Gemma Doyle trilogy — lovelovelovelove, need I say more? Then I read, um. Hairstyles of the Damned by Joe Meno (it was interesting, I'll say — good, though not really the style I'm into at the moment), Fight Club (which was, um, weird, haha), and Violet on the Runway by Melissa Walker (she was at the RED release party, so of course I had to read her book!). Now I'm working on The Boy Detective Fails, also by Joe Meno — though I am enjoying this one much more than Hairstyles. It's interesting, and absolutely heartbreaking. Oh man. I love it. It took a while to get into it, I'll admit, because it's very unusual, but it's fantastic, really. Next, I plan on reading 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson, because I saw it on Saskia's bedroom floor when I was at her house this weekend and decided to borrow it because, hello, love Maureen Johnson. (I keep putting off The Psychology of Joss Whedon, I know. Eventually, eventually.)

Now, I'll be missing two days of school this week so that I can head up to Juniata for a scholarship interview on Friday. I applied for the arts scholarship (I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it here, I sent in a wonderful portfolio with a copy of RED, an excerpt from my novel, a few poems, a letter from Amy G, two Literatures CDs — I think I totally beat out anybody else who applied for it, haha, I'm that confident!) and so along with the interview, there's a luncheon (gosh, how awkward will that be? All of us competing for six scholarships, having to eat lunch together? Um, should be fun, er), and then I plan on sitting in on a history class and attending an instrumental music session and a study abroad session, as well as chatting with some people from their club that is equivalent to a Gay-Straight Alliance. Should be a very eventful day! Hopefully I won't be sick then, though, as I have an icky cold or something, and it makes me sad :(

And now, to remind everybody that Saskia's created a monster in introducing me to Johnny's Entertainment, Yamapi, etc., a few videos that make me happy and that maybe will make you smile or dance or what have you (because honestly, how pretty is every single member of NEWS? So pretty!):

• Snow Express: Such an amazing song. And Yamapi rapping? HOW MUCH LOVE? SO MUCH LOVE.

• Sayaendou: I love the "bravo bravo!" bits, haha. And when they fly, it makes me happy :B

• Koyama and Shige being hilarious in their hotel room: Oh my god. Their giddiness makes me so giggly. I seriously want to be best friends with them, haha.

Okay. Enough dorkiness from Amy. Like you all even watch the videos, ahaha. I just figure, you know, maybe I can convert more people ;) ahaha.

Oh! And one last thing: chances are good I'll finally be seeing Spring Awakening over spring break ;) rock!

An overview of events that prove how absolutely exciting my life is. (Obviously not making interesting posts. But bear with me. Life is not very interesting right now.)

So let's see... last post was last Thursday? Ah yes, the voice post! I love voice posts. Hmm. But since then? I guess I'll just outline my past week for you, since nothing incredibly significant is sticking out in my mind.

• Lit Mag is having ups and downs right now, but after chatting with Mr. Reynolds I fixed up some problems with him. Apparently a few other people (who will remain unnamed, but they most likely know who they are, sigh) think that he's still all dictator-like and such, but honestly. It's not about having a fantastic sponsor, it's about putting out a fantastic magazine! But anyway, they think we need to switch back to our old sponsor. I think this is the last thing we need. I love Ms. McGrew, really, but we can't keep switching back and forth, or else nothing will get done. Plus, they don't know anything that went down in the chat that I had with Mr. Reynolds because they weren't there. And oh, they were definitely invited along, but when it came to confronting him, they just stood back and were like, "Oh. Uh. I don't want to talk to him." Pfft. Okay then. I'll do all the work, thankssss.

(...but moving on.)

• I got into Juniata College last Friday! Very exciting! I now eagerly await the letter in which they tell me that they want me to come interview for a full-tuition scholarship. :B I want want wantttt that scholarship, oh man.

• Urinetown rehearsal didn't exist last weekend, which was niiiice. Because all that I wanted to do was sit around and watch more Yamapi goodness and read Crime and Punishment. (Only one of those I actually did, though. Um.) Yes, on Saturday, I finished watching Nobuta wo Produce (!!! so much love, so much love, so much) and then on Sunday I watched another drama of his — Sore wa, Totsuzen, Arashi no you ni (meaning It was sudden, like a storm) — and basically drooled a lot. Um. I kind of adore this guy. Oh Saskia, look what you've done to me!

• I finished Crime and Punishment last night! Yeah! Sure, a little late, but well worth it. Good book, though the ending did kind of disappoint me. Something about it was too, hmm. Happy? Sort of. Um. I don't really know how to say it. But good book, nonetheless. Even better, though, is the fact that I can read whatever I want now! Yay!

• English presentation this morning! Actually, the day started off as total crap. I woke up, touched my glasses, and they broke. What the crap! A very angry morning. But I got to school, talked to some friends, and cheered up. Apparently, my taping job was so fabuloso that barely anyone even noticed the brokenness of my glasses. (Gift wrap tape works splendidly, actually.)

• This afternoon, when my dad picked me up at school and started driving us over to Simpson Optical so that we could order my new frames, he told me that Honey Bean is getting kicked out! Something about an evil landlord or something. Oh man. I love Honey Bean! This local coffee shop that is actually close by! So sad. So after putting in the order for frames, we walked over and got yummy coffee products. They're leaving tomorrow. :(

• I seem lately to be spending a significant amount of time talking to myself and daydreaming for long periods of time. Honestly, last Thursday or Friday I lay down on my bed and stared at the wall, meaning to drift off for a few minutes, but ended up staring at the wall daydreaming for a full hour. Great waste of my life, right? Something about life lately just has me feeling so idealistic and whimsical and, well, preoccupied, I guess. (Now you all officially think I'm supercrazy, I'm sure. But don't tell me you don't sometimes go off into bouts of chattering with yourself, creating certain situations and ideal circumstances. It's fun for a smile, really! But I guess I should attempt to tone it down. I mean, seriously. Staring at a wall for an hour?!)

• This week, Professor Steve Steve should be arriving in the mail! Who is Professor Steve Steve, you ask?

He is an amazing panda, the mascot of The Panda's Thumb, a blog my dad contributes to. Last summer, we got to keep him for a month or so because we took him on a trip to the Creation Museum in Northern Kentucky. (Scary place, really. It's just nutty.) Sometime next month, a man is coming to the local UU church to talk about his visit to the Creation Museum. We figure he might enjoy meeting Professor Steve Steve, haha. And man oh man, am I excited about bringing him to school! As dorky as it sounds, when all of my friends left me for camps and such this past summer. Professor Steve Steve was my best buddy. Ahahaha. (And wow. As if the talking to myself didn't already make me supercrazy, add in befriending a panda puppet.)

• And lastly, as silly as it sounds, my adoration of Yamapi is keeping me so insanely cheery right now. Lots of stupid and annoying things have been going on as of late, and so this new lovely obsession is just what I need to keep a smile on my face. The music and the dramas are just so happymaking, from "Nobuta power, chuunyu!" to listening to Gomen ne Juliet and dancing around a little bit in my seat every day at lunch. Oh, how much I now wish I understood japanese... then all would be complete *_*

• Oh, and: HAPPY BIRTHDAY SASKIA DAHHHLINK. ;)

• ahgujksdag, jfs, one last sad thing: John Edwards? Out of the race. So sad :( my happiness over finally being able to vote has gone down a bit. Sigh.

This isn't my "something interesting."

This is my "just letting you know that I'm still around, sort of, somewhere."

Where have I been, anyway? What has Amy been up do?

• Becoming acquainted with Nobuta wo Produce, thanks to Saskia.

• Watching video after video of Yamapi and developing a lovely new obsession.

• Attending the first Urinetown rehearsal, and actually not screwing up horribly.

• Telling myself to finish Crime and Punishment already.

• Mourning over the death of Heath Ledger. :(

I am so not in the mood to write anything interesting or lengthy or fun right now. I kind of just want to blow off my homework and watch 10 Things I Hate About You. I need a serious Heath Ledger-fest right now. :(

Grades: I should probably feel more upset, but I'm surprisingly content.

So yes, today I spent basically the entire day at Third Street Stuff, the local quirky coffee shop, with Saskia. We did homework, read, etc. I finished The Town And The City — by Jack Kerouac, which kind of disappointed me as I expected this epic wonderful thing and instead, about a third of the way through it began to annoy me incredibly, and though I enjoyed the first third and was okay with the ending, it was very difficult to make myself finish it — and wrote a little bit and attempted some of my chemistry homework. (I wish Chemistry was still as easy as it had been sophomore year. Yes, that was what we call "baby Chemistry." AP Chem? Way over my head. Oops. But I pulled off a B this past semester! Much to my happiness.) Before I dive into Crime & Punishment (running out of time here!), I'm going to read Devilish by Maureen Johnson, which Saskia lent to me and which I should be able to knock out in a day. Maureen Johnson is so cool, haha.

Since I heard back from two schools over winter break — Transylvania University and Wittenberg University — about my acceptance, I have been going nuts over letters from more schools. Especially Juniata at the moment, as I also really want the arts scholarship I applied for — I sent them a crapload of stuff for my portfolio: two Literatures CDs, the past three years' copies of my school's literary magazine, an excerpt from my novel, two other poems, one other short story, a copy of RED, and the recommendation that Amy G wrote for me). Yeah, I sent them a lot, so they better give me the full ride, haha. I also went out to UPS on the third and the portfolio had to be postmarked for the fourth, so I really cut it close there. I'll know if I'm being considered for the scholarship if I'm invited up for an interview on February 25th (please please please!) (but why a Monday? Hello, seniors kind of have school). God, I want that scholarship. How amazing would it be to get a full ride? So amazing.

Speaking of grades (well, up there in that first paragraph), report cards came in the mail today. Four As, one B and a C. God, that C is so stupid. Calculus. Hate math. I'm just not very good at it — although I do try, I swear I do. It just... the material just doesn't stay in my head, you know? But the C balanced out with the abundance of As! (The GPA stays good so long as I have two As to balance out one C. If my calculations are correct, that should be a 3.5 for the semester? Although I'm most likely wrong — my C was in Calculus.) I'm pretty proud of this past semester, actually. The math grade isn't very good, no, but overall it might actually be my best semester, as it's the most As I've gotten within one semester before. Should actually be good for my GPA! And it's especially good that my first semester of senior year is my best, showing that I have improved over the years — I screwed up majorly my second semester freshman year. So though I would have liked for that C to be a B, well, I'm still pretty happy with my grades. I mean, it's too late to do anything about them, so why freak out? Just gotta focus on this next semester, this next summer, and finally college next fall.

Plus, Mr. Liimatta, my English teacher, left the best comment I've ever received on a report card: "Harry and the Potters rock." No one else has ever had a cooler report card. No one.

Hope you all don't mind two posts in one day. ;) I actually just wanted to blog to let everyone know about the comment Mr. Liimatta left. So happy-making!
